Campbell has been involved in the financial planning profession since 1985. He has held positions at Schroders, Acuma (part of American Express) and the financial planning division of Prudential, where he was a branch manager and latterly the technical training manager.

Campbell is one of only a handful of individuals who is a Fellow of both the Personal Financial Society and the Institute of Financial Planning. He is also one of only around 500 Certified Financial PlannerCM certificants in the UK. Campbell is immediate Past President of the Institute of Financial Planning as well as a member of its governing board and Practice Standards Committee. He has achieved success in the prestigious Money Management Financial Planner of the Year awards winning ‘Estate Planner of the Year’ in the 2006 competition and the 'Investment Planner of the Year' and 'Directors' Pension Planner of the Year' categories in 2001.

Campbell joined Bloomsbury in 1999 and is responsible for complex pensions, estate and tax planning.
